Being apart doesn’t mean being alone. In fact, there have never been more creative and inspiring ways to come together than right now! There are a ton of helpful apps and ideas that make staying connected easy, and we asked our OnePiece Work team and members to share their favorites. Here’s how we collaborate, share, and stay busy these days - we hope this list brings you as much inspiration as it has us!

Apps

Adobe Scan
For productivity and to help those working from home, we recommend this free mobile app. Adobe Scan uses your device to scan documents into PDFs and automatically recognizes text - a real lifesaver for anyone missing their office equipment right about now.

Photomath
A lot of parents find themselves working from home and being a teacher to their children. With quite a few of those parents on our team, we recommend Photomath to help with that intimidating math homework. All you have to do is take a picture of the math problem you are trying to solve, and Photomath will show you how to solve it with helpful instructions.

Walkr
Walkr combines your phone’s pedometer with a fun galaxy adventure game! Explore up to 100+ fascinating planets and 30+ missions that motivate you to get out and walk more. Millions of worldwide players have made this gamified fitness app a quarantine must.

Houseparty
Houseparty is a social platform that lets you connect face-to-face with the people you care about most. The app makes connecting effortless, alerting you when your friends are “in the house” and ready to chat so you can jump right into the conversation. Houseparty group video chats also feature built-in game options like charades, trivia, Quick Draw, Heads Up, and more.

Duolingo
Now’s the perfect time to discover a new language. This free platform lets you learn 30+ languages with quick, bite-sized lessons, all at your own pace. Duolingo feels like a game and makes sure you stay motivated along the way. Take ten minutes a day, and you’ll surprise yourself with how well you can speak a new language three months from now.

HabitShare
We’ve been using HabitShare with friends to stay accountable for our weekly fitness, health, and mental goals. Just add your goals to the app and share them with your friends. We set reminders throughout the day and our friends and coworkers message us to stay on track. It's great for accountability and motivation. You can even send friends a virtual high five or chest bump - how perfect is that right now?

Wakeout!
This free app shows you fun short exercises you can do around the house. Wakeout comes with 1,000+ fun exercises and 270+ routines designed for busy people: right where you are, in 30 seconds, and tailored to your energy level.

Instagram
Our favorite photo and video-sharing social app has endless interesting accounts to follow right now. We like @womenshealthmag and @menshealthmag for workout challenges and LIVE workout classes (they post the schedule in their stories), and chef @jamieoliver for delicious recipes and live cooking demos - to name just a few.

Other Fun Ways to Connect

Netflix Watch Party
Our team does a weekly Netflix Watch Party to stay connected with each other. It’s easy - just download the Netflix extension on your desktop or laptop computer (Chrome browsers only), log-in, and join your party for a live chat while you all stream your favorite movies and shows. It’s a fun and easy way to movie-night from a distance.

Slack Photo Challenge
We challenged our members to showcase their WFH set-ups. It was fun and creative to stay engaged as a community and gave us a “context” for our members (and their cats) as we collaborate remotely day after day. A winner from each center was awarded a prize.

Weekly Cooking Show & Room Tour
Invading your coworkers’ kitchens is a great way to get to know them! Our Cooking Show & Room Tour series gives one team member per week the spotlight, where a living space tour is capped off by a cooking demo in their very own kitchen. It’s a fun peek inside the lives of our coworkers, and we get to add a delicious dish to our quarantine recipe box too.

Virtual Coworking Day
These all-day Zoom meetings encourage our team to hop in and out to work together, chat ideas, and spontaneously collaborate.

10-Day Wellness Challenge
We brought on wellness coach Brooke Simonson to aid our community exclusively while we are in quarantine! Brooke provides daily emails with research-based tips relating to sleep, stress management, movement, mindset, and nutrition. Check out her podcast too!

Live Streaming Music
Billboard put together a comprehensive list of live streams and virtual concerts to watch during quarantine. Catch them live or browse their catalog that’s growing by the day. Watch Miley Cyrus, Josh Groban, Kenny Chesney, the Roots, and dozens more of your favorite artists jamming live from their living rooms to yours.

Virtual Events
Eventbrite is a great place to find virtual events filtered by the category. With a broad range of topics including business, entertainment, activism, and self-improvement, you’re sure to find something fascinating to pass the hours while you self-isolate.
